In the autumn of 1970 The Doors assembled at Sunset Sound Studios in L.A. to record some new songs. But soon after they started the mix sessions Jim Morrison announced that he was leaving to go to Paris to meet up with his girlfriend Pam Courson. Within 6 months he would be dead.
Featuring exclusive interviews with Ray Manzarek, John Densmore, Robby Kreiger and their closest colleagues and collaborators, exclusive performance, archive footage and examination of the original multi track recording tapes with Producer Bruce Botnick, this film tells the amazing story of this landmark album by one of the most influential bands on the planet, who articulated the fears and desires of a generation.
